Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sukr mobile app and the stopsukr.com website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Sukr is a support app for cutting back on sugar, without shame. It offers a personalized assessment, a streak and a daily check-in, an SOS button to ride out cravings, short lessons, progress tracking, and an optional support circle. Sukr is a motivation and education tool, not a medical device (see section 8).

3. Account

An anonymous account is created automatically when you first open the app, with no email or password. You are responsible for how you use the app on your device. The Service is intended for people 13 years and older; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms.

4. Subscription

Sukr is free to start (the assessment is free). Some advanced features may require a paid subscription. If a free trial is offered at purchase, the subscription renews automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Prices and offer details are shown clearly before any payment, with no false urgency and no surprise billing.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• try to bypass security or access other people's data;
• copy, resell, or redistribute the app's content without permission;
• interfere with the Service or with other members of a circle.

7. Intellectual property

The "Sukr" name, the logo, the text, the interface, and the content of the app and site are protected and remain our property (or that of our partners). Reproduction without permission is prohibited.

8. Not medical advice; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without a warranty of constant availability. Sukr is not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice, and is not treatment. The reference points and estimates shown (for example the WHO benchmark, "sugar avoided," or money saved) are indicative and do not replace the advice of a healthcare professional. If you have an eating disorder or a medical condition, talk to a professional before changing your diet. You use the Service at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. When a change is material, we will let you know in the app or by email where possible.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your data at any time from the app. We may suspend access in case of a serious breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, where Sukr is operated, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections available to you in your place of residence.
